For the last 5 years I have been self-employed working with companies to improve their effectiveness and performance particularly in merging divisions and improving operational activities through the introduction of better processes and interactions.

I have worked for several large corporations including BT, General Electric Inc (USA) and GEC. I have also worked on assignments to medium sized enterprises as customers of these large corporations. I have worked in Europe and across the UK.

I have spent over 30 years in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry in systems development and support roles. I have managed numerous development and delivery projects introducing new technologies and applications to clients. I have on several occasions been called in to recover projects, services and operations in jeopardy

I am used to working with business leaders to understand business requirements and priorities, converting these to technical specifications and working and leading designers, specialists and implementers to deliver complex, leading edge technologies.

I am used to managing budgets of several millions of pounds, planning and tracking performance to deliver solutions to timescale, budget and quality requirements.

I know that people find change and new technology difficult. New solutions and approaches will deliver success only if everyone understands and supports them and the key to success lies in good communications and effective engagement with everyone affected.
